Interviews

This section of our digital archive will feature oral histories from government officials, activists, intellectuals and a broad spectrum of society who participated in or experienced the debate about the nuclear rearmament in the 1970/80s.

This archive of individual testimonies will illustrate how broadly the nuclear crisis affected strategic policy considerations during the Cold War, as well as individual societies and people on a profound level.

This important and unique collection of oral histories will thus serve as an important primary research source for scholars and students who desire to learn more about the transnational story of the "Second Cold War" from a plethora of perspectives through the eyes of the people who lived through it.
